oes this work for older dogs ?
Good vid on potty training. And, no, crates are not mean. They are protective and the dog learns that they are a “safe space” if trained properly.
I didn’t confine my dog to train him, I had a pad on the floor. Keeping a dog in a cage is animal cruelty.

at the very beginning, does he say “when you aren’t home, confine you puppy….” or does he say “when you ARE AT home, confine your puppy…”

you could do this: ties the bells to the door and hold a treat in your hand above/behind/next to the bells, it they hit the bells, immediately open the door and start praising. if you have to, you can kinda nudge your dogs head into the bells, and when it makes a sound, the door opens and you praise and take outside. also, ring the bells everytime you open the door for something. it will take a while, so be patient, but it should work
well thats really great but how the hell are you sopose to teach him how to ring a bell?!
